Nobody can give an exact figure but it doesn't change the fact that millions of Jews/homosexuals/gypsies etc. were killed because of one evil person and his followers.
The actual figures don't really mean much, it's more the fact that someone was allowed to get that far and that we have hopefully learned from our mistakes

The german SS were fanatics for keeping records of everthing that took place in their extermination camps. These records were recovered when these camps were liberated. At Austwich Burkenhau alone their records proved that they were gassing and cremating an average of 12,000 jews a day. This was made possible because the furnaces were specially designed with specially produced fire tile which lined the furnace instead of the usual firebricks which had to be renewed every 3 weeks. These tiles made it possible to increase the temperature of the furnace to twice the previous temperature and a body could be cremated in a third of the time it previously took. Although 12, 000 jews a day seems impossible it is true. They even found the architects drwings for reconstructing the furnaces with these new tiles.Believe it or not, NASA adopted the same idea for it's space shuttle.

OK, so instead of 6 million Jews it as only 2. That's that really make that much of a difference?. Who cares about the figures if it was 2 million people that were brutally torture and murder. Still 2 million souls where gone because of a cruel dictator. Exact figures will never be proven, but the Holocaust was real, enough documentation is there to prove it.

Why do you want proof and numbers? Even one person would be too many
It happened - people died horribly - that they did is something humanity will have to live with for the rest of infinity - if we survive that long
And we will also have to live with the consequenses which can be plainly seen in what is happening in the 'middle east' right now
Nothing as barbaric as what happend to the jewish people can happen without conseqenses for us all - the current political climate, terroism etc is linked at least in part to this - you do not abuse a whole people without consequense.
Added: That it did happen to the Jewish people I agree does not in anyway justify the current behaviour in Palestine which I feel is equally diabolical towards another whole people - but as I said something like this leads to consequences, which the world will now feel for many generations’ to come
But what exactly is your question anyway?
Asking for proof of something already proved is not a question

As someone who has no relatives on my father's side as a result of the holocaust, I don't give a rat's *** what the official figures are or whether or not you beleive them.
The fact is that people have lost their lives for no good reason and the pain caused to their families by this isn't measured by the number of souls affected.
The fact that you can want to bicker about the number killed leads me to believe that you're clueless as to what the holocaust means, primarily because it didn't strike close enough to your home.

I have been to Vad Yashem , the holocaust memorial in Israel. They have many names and estimate 6 M. There was a tatoo numbering system used in some places. Also, Hiltler's Doctors kept very good detailed records . The doctors were doing medical experiments, etc. It's horrific ... incomprehinsible to me. If you have a chance to see this place, it's well worth it.
There is a photo of the Hall of Names Room and in that room is a database of names.

you will never get to the truth of the Holocaust figgures. because the higher the figgures the more leverage they seem to have over us all. though i have no idea why anyone in Britain should feel guilty ?? i cirtainly dont. i am personaly sic of having the Holocaust shoved down my throat. they use it like an excuse for the wrongs they do to the Palastinians. that kind of behavior makes me sic to my stomach. and in my opinion since giving them the state of Israel in 1948 they have acting no better than the Nazis themselves. in that they have taken 'by force' what ever land they saw fit to take. including the Palasinians holyest of holy places, and continue to prevent them from having access. in my opinion the united nations should demand they return what they have stolen. only then! can the true peace talks begin. and for god sake can we stop letting them get away with mass slaughter!! just because they might mention the Holocaust. its FRANKLY!! an insane situation.

Hard to estimate and impossible to prove. Six million went missing from the best guess but some might have not been directly killed. Maybe only 5.5 million were murdered but it really doesn't matter the exact count.

Just exactly what part of you little mushy brain thinks it has the right to "dismiss the official figures"?
Stick your head in the ocean, then pull it out. The hole that is left is just exactly how important your opinion is in this world.
