...years ago, when we lived way out in the country, our family would burn some household trash in a large burn barrel about 300 ft from the house inside a small enclosed fenced area on a rocky section of the pasture...I was doing this one day and thought that the burning was done and left, temporarily, to pick my son up from school...there was no one else home...when we returned, there was pasture burning all around the house and the fire trucks were there...it seemed one of our cows broke through the fence and knocked down the barrel...there was enough still smoldering to catch the pasture on fire...it destroyed a small out building but didn't make it to the house...no animals were hurt...thank God...I was only gone for about 20 minutes...and that's when all this happened...we had a neighbor who saw the pasture burning and called the fire department...I felt so stupid...but then someone said it wasn't my fault, but the "stupid" cow's fault...now that was supposed to make me feel better ?

Well, it has never gotten that out of hand because someone has always been there to stop something terrible from happening but here's a few close incidents.
Once, in organic chemistry lab I was wearing a long sleeve fleece sweater and we were working with the bunsen burner. well, being the genius that I am (sarcastic of course), I was talking to a friend and I had my tube above the fire and my back faced away from the bunsen burn so my teacher assistant had to swing my arm away from the flame with the conversation got a bit exciting! :)
And then in organic lab, AGAIN (I KNOW, MY SCHOOL NEVER LET ME GO TO LAB) I blew up a few organic solvents.
Plus, whenever I bake I always leave te oven on too long adn let the food burn or when I am doing with the oven I don't turn it off and someone else always notices like 5-6 hrs later and turns it off for me.
:)
I have an eventful life.
Love,
Mary ♥

When I was about fourteen, I put a pan of oil on the stove for popcorn, but I had the heat up way too high, and the oil exploded before the corn popped, spraying red-hot kernels all over the kitchen. They singed the floor, counters, the drapes, everything; but mostly my hands, forearms, and face. (I had little red dots for months, but no permanent scars.) The smoke detectors went off, all four kids woke up screaming, and the neighbors, who knew I was babysitting, called the fire department before they came over and saw there wasn't an actual fire. Quite a ruckus. Surprisingly, I didn't get fired. I still don't cook on other people's stoves, though.

I dont know if this qualifies for major accident, but as a kid I slammed the garage door shut. The door spring shot up through the ceiling and poked a hole in the roof. Later that night rain came and damaged most of the celing in the kitchen. My backside hurt for days!

Set pans full of bacon on fire a few times. Pop tarts in the toaster a few times too. Now I just eat the pop tarts as is. I'm sick of buying new toasters. Nothing major though. I stopped eating bacon.

When i was about 6 i fingured out how to start a match. My uncle came over from russia for a week to Canada. He took out his cigar and lit it with this weird stick thing that i never saw before. I just saw my dad smoke his cigarettes with lighters, but i never saw a match. I kept staring at it so he took it out and put out his cigar. He showed me how to start one up. The first fough times i couldn't do it and i got so mad. He told me i'd get it one day, so he went to bed cuz it was kinda late. He left the matches on the coffe table with his drink. I didn't wanna tell him he left them so i picked them up and started practising because i wanted to learn right away. I finally got it and i was so happy i was jumping up and down and dropped it by the balcony on the long curtain. It set on fire and everyone woke up to the beeping of the smoke detector. I ran and hid behind the cabinet hoping no one would find me. After that me and my uncle were yelled at and i was grounded lol.

I dropped something behind the washing machine and ripped the dryer hose. It started flaming and I had to unplug it and put out the fire. It smelled nasty. D:
Edit: If this counts- I drove through the garage door one time when I forgot to put the car in reverse.
