Busty McGee, you did not have to insult my question. Take your immature answers somewhere else. This is for adults to answer. Consider yourself reported.

I am quite certain that they can. Having a bank account can make life easier, especially when it has something in it. Not everyone is lucky enough to have an account but, it is a wise thing to save a portion of your income every single time you get paid. A lot of people spend whatever they have and more by using credit cards to the max and then getting in a great deal of financial trouble. Everyone should learn to live within their means and also to save for a rainy day since everyone will run into occasions which they didn't plan on and for which they will need the money.

Yes you can live without it. But by doing so you need to make sure you keep it in a safe place write down how much you take and balance it out that way. People that have accounts use this method because it's easier to manage money you reconcile your balance at the end of the month. With cash at home needs to be in a very good hiding place so if someone breaks in doesnt take your money. Good Luck on your decision!

Some people are forced to because they wrote bad checks one too many times .

They have to spend forever and extra fees to cash payroll checks , buy expensive money orders for their bills and risk getting robbed of their cash all the time .

They can live without the account but it would be a really suckkkky way to live .

You can, but it's costly. You can for example go to a check cashing place and cash your paychecks, etc. but they take a percentage. If you hide all of your money in a mattress, say, and someone takes it, you're SOL... FICA does not insure that. Also, someone sees you open your wallet, and you've got tons of cash, you're advertising that you're ripe for being rolled. While you CAN live without a bank account, it's not advisable.

You probably could as long as you have a secure place to keep your money. Plus you would be less likely to overspend if you only dealt with cash. You can use cashiers checks to pay bills and no one else has to know your finances. Sounds cool huh?

every illegal alien I have ever met, carrys big wads of cash, they have no social security number, they have no I.D, therefore they can not have a bank account. Why do you think there are so many check cashing places in Southern california, it is because the border hoppers cant have anything to do with the banks. but they still need money, but they can not write checks, so they have to pay every bill with a money order. sucks for them.. they should go home

It will be a bit expensive, you will only be able to cash your checks at a check cashing place, and they charge a fee from each check. At a bank, you can find free accounts. Plus, you have some security for your money.
