The 3rd of every month--or a day or two earlier if the 3rd is on a weekend/holiday. Its the same for everyone. When the checks (or direct deposit) will start depends on how fast they get you into the system.

Hi HaHa There is no way that you'll be refused for either of the reasons you suggest. If they refused SSDI to anyone who has taken drugs or had a drink they wouldn't pay out to anyone. Relax, you've done a good job and deserve to be helped Kezzy

Isn't it called S.S.D.?? Depending on your state it will very somewhat, but it comes the 3rd of every month it's best to get this done with a direct deposit if you have not done all ready.

You should have been assigned a case worker. Call SS office and find out your caseworkers name and number.... she should be able to give you all that info.
