Why do so many people never go and do what they want knowing that life is so short and that they may die not doing so many things that they could do?
Me personally, I do what I want when I want without being held down by anyone (Im a bit heartless but it works for me!)

hey, working hard is part of not wastring your life.
I work hard, study hard, play hard, but I don't let people hold me back!!
I got a nice car, a nice apartment too u kno!
I guess i didn't make it clear.
I see people who just simply grind and grind and gridn their way through life till they die. That is a waste of life

Speaking as someone who gave up everything to look after two relatives I'd say that sometimes other peoples needs become more important than one's own.
10 years on I'm now getting my chance, I'm doing a degree in pop music performance and may soon be able to resume my music career.
So I don't think it's as bleak as you paint it.
I would however recommend the practise of doing something for someone else, not just for yourself. Just helps you know that you are giving something back, not just taking

I think being heartless is wasting life, though. Why not love? Why not care?
I try to make the most out of every day but I know I don't accomplish everything I would want to happen because I'm afraid I'll fall down. We can't always run, sometimes we have to pace ourselves and stop and deal with what's in front of us.

Thats easily said. But, do you have a mortgage? A nice car? Nice furnishings? Foreign holidays? All of those things require you to work. So unless your happy claiming from the state and living in paid for council accomodation and poverty, you have to work, which means you cannot do what you want, when you want, unless you want to live like a bum.

Because they spend their life looking after people and by the time, they get the time, to do the things they want to do, they have the aches and pains that getting older brings, you should research before you ask questions like that... Some older people are fitter than others... I am glad it works for you, but have compassion to people who are not as well off than you

i have always done exactly as I pleased. My Mother use to critize me by saying 'she does exactly as she pleases" she had the old fashioned value that as a woman I had to serve other especially her. I never bought into all that. I am now in a retirement home and I thank myself for getting a good education, living in a great condo, doing my career my way and travel.

Ha, I am so in a situation where i don't know whether your way is the right way? I want to experience something I never thought I would but it is not morally the right thing to do. I guess I will decide the right thing to do eventually.

According to nihilist philosophy, whatever we do makes no difference anyway, so it's impossible to waste your life. A guy that drinks beer and watches TV all day accomplishes as much as Mother Teresa did in the real long run.

You are right - some people do waste life. Not me.
I conserve it carefully, minimise risks, do everything in my power to make sure I have enough life saved up to last me well into my old age

i think the reason why some people "waste life" is that they get too comfortable with their consistent routine and are often too scared to step outside the box.
it's a sad reality,
but the truth nonetheless.

Well good for you...
It's a shame the rest of us have massive limitations on what we do that stop us living the way we want.
