No.
But the News Media proves that it has joined the Terrorists and Democrats, to Defeat America.

Who Hates America the Most?
1. The Terrorists?
2. The News Media?
3. The Democrat Party?

(I think it is a 3 way tie.)

The media proves that it will oppose any action undertaken by a Republican administration. Had this war been initiated by Clinton, you would have very different reporting.

I don't believe that the majority of Americans want failure in Iraq, but I do believe that the "peace at any cost" crowd is full of misguided, naive individuals.

That is inane. Nobody wants failure in Iraq. Not me, not anybody I know, not America in general, not Iraq and not even the world.

The problem is a final goal for Iraq. What is it? What is the final goal for Iraq?

Is it to eliminate terrorism? Not going to happen. There will always be a terrorist somehwere.

Is it to free the Iraqi people from a dictator? Well, that was done.

Is it to establish a democracy in the Middle East? Shouldn't the Iraqis be doing that themselves?

The lack of significant progress in Iraq is due to the Iraqis who do not see themselves as Iraqis, but as Suni, Shia, and Kurd. So I guess the consensus is that if we kill enough of all of these insurgent factions, they will suddenly develop some sense of nationalism and want a federal government in order to become a peaceful democracy. Half of their parliament is made up of insurgents who resign, come back, resign, etc.

Bottom line is, why do you see it as Americans wanting failure in Iraq. The people in Iraq probably will never come to any agreements as long as these agreements are based on what is perceived as what the occupiers are forcing on them.

They are fighting for power to rule their government. What do we have to do with that? They need to join forces and turn on Al Qaeda.

Success in Iraq means that Iraq has democracy, right?

Democracy is government of the people, by the people. If we leave, they have democracy.

If we apply the additional condition that Iraq does what we want, that means *we* control Iraq. In order to make that happen, we need to grant statehood to Iraq.

So which one do you want? Do you want Iraqi citizens to rule Iraq, or do you want to grant statehood to Iraq so that we rule Iraq?

I have yet to hear the people responsible for this war or any of their supporters give an achievable goal or goals that would define what a successful conclusion of the war would be. The Iraq fiasco is a poorly planned war with no exit strategy.
