Yeah, I know...it's for a girl.
But back when, it was a boy name...and I like it that way.

So, what do you think about Jack Leslie?
Yes, for a boy.

Usually I don't care for what's typically a "girl" name being used for a boy, but since it's a middle name it would be fine. Look at Leslie Nielsen... half the time I forget he has a "girl" name.... I have a male cousin named Ashley, and he never had any problems.... Now if you want to use a name like Nancy or Emma, that's a problem!

I got a ton of sh** from people because I l like the name Garrett for a girl.... There's nothing wrong with a name being used for the opposite sex - it didn't hurt Glenn Close's acting career, now did it?

I knew a boy with that name, his was spelled Lesley and he went by Les. I never thought of it as a girly name, but I do like the way he spelled it better. More girls spell it Leslie. I like the name Jack Leslie/Lesley, it is a strong name and Jack is in no way feminine.

By the way, even though it was a while ago, he was never made fun of for it or had any problems. People always say that, but kids could get made fun of for any name, they are creative. I wouldn't worry about that unless you are considering a very off the wall name.

It's better for a girl. Also the name Jack Leslie doesn't flow. Good luck and congrats!

I'm not crazy about it as a first name, but I think it works with Jack. Plus, everyone gets so wrapped up in the middle name, but most people will never know the difference.

There are lots of male Leslie's out there. It 's an "ambidextrous" name.
Like Robin/Robyn; Bobby/Bobbie etc.
Don't stick with boring convention.
Go for it.
Leslie Crowther certainly didn't find his name a handicap.
