Another burning question from me! Lol.
I've never been to Greece before and am going to Kefalonia mid-October. Can I expect it to rain a lot? How hot can I will it to be? I want to try and get a tan, will that be possible at this time of year?
How safe is Kefalonia in general, I am travelling alone?

Although the weather is not as nice as in sumer is nice enough (especially if yo are accustomed in more rainy climats)

1. It may rain. Not all the time, but it could. However, Greece has nice sunny days all year long so I am sure you will have a nice time if you don't expect to find summer in mid-October.
2. It will not be hot. You need to take long pants and long sleeves and jaackets. Do take some T shirts too, to wear in the morning, but a tan is rather out of the question.
3. Kefalonia and Greece in general is very safe, but of course you must be acting dsafely (not going alone to secluded places, etc.) Bad people can be anywhere!

you probably could get a tan in mid october, my family live out in greece so i've been a few times. it wont be boiling hot though so it might take you a bit longer to get a tan. Greece is generally safe but if you're traveling alone I would take care like try and avoid walking alone at night. If you are going to a hotel then you might be able to find some tours of the island, then you could make some friends, see the sights and stay safe. have a great time! greece is great!

It's late in the season so not too hot, expect around 20C-22C during the day. I suggest you carry an extra layer of clothing for the evening, It can get chilly
Rain is possible, but it usually falls in the late afternoon or early evening. No prizes for guessing a good time to eat.
Kefalonia is pretty safe, even if travelling alone (I don't know but I guess your female and still in your teens).
A bit late in the year for a tan but the the intense sun in mid summer is not a good idea. In October you can have a little longer in the sun but be careful and apply the sun blocker.
That said it's a great place.

Sorry honey, but i dont think that you'll be able to get a tan..
Ppl will stare at you, if you're at the beach with swim suit..
Everyone will wear coat :P
