I am tired of hearing Weiss is a genuis and how N.D. will be so great year in and year out.

I am not a ND basher but ND has been treated like a pro football program for as long as i can remember. They probably make more money for TV contracts then some pro teams get.

at least they won't be in any good bowl games. Great match-ups without ND clouding it up!!!

Obviously as a die-hard ND fan and an alumnus, I am not happy with the record.
But ya know, all of the educated (and that doesn't mean the ND morons on here that say we rule) ND fans knew we'd be lucky to have a winning record this year. I myself didn't think we'd be this bad, I thought Penn State and Purdue were very winnable games. It's only the non-ND fans who think we are supposed to be gods and win every game, so now that we haven't even won 1 yet, it's the same people bashing us. ND fans (except the extremely biased ones) haven't had a say in the conversation, it's always been the bashers hyping us up and then when we falter it's those bashers sending us right back down.
As far as hearing Weis being a genius, I don't know about that. Have you heard all of the criticism he's been getting since the USC blowout last year? I haven't heard anyone call him a genius since the UCLA game last year where Quinn hit Samardzija for that big time score. Everyone said "Oh that Charlie Weis another very smart playcall to essentially win the game". And since that's the last I've heard anyone call him a genius, I'm gonna have to disagree with you here. People are saying except for Lloyd Carr, Charlie is the next guy on the hot seat, which is insane considering he's got about 8 or 9 years left on a 30 million dollar contract in total money. So I guess what I am trying to say is where are you hearing all this Weis being a genius (Retarded fans don't count)?

I would just like to know why so many people are hating on us, it's an obvious rebuilding year. Teams aren't supposed to do good during rebuilding years, they are supposed to prepare for future success in upcoming seasons. Notre Dame doesn't have the privilage to give recruits cars and houses like USC does so we have to develop our players.
Our fans knew all along we'd suck this year, it's other fans saying we are overrated and bashing on us.

I think was just to make USC's schedule look more competitive when they played them and to hype Notre Dame TV broadcasts. Of course, I will admit that the opponents of all top ranked teams tend to get a bit hyped in advance. I was annoyed when Notre Dame got to the Sugar Bowl against LSU last year because it was like beating up a kid in a wheel chair it was so easy and shameful. If Weiss was a genious, he would try to get the Michigan or Oklahoma job while he can, or maybe even Louisville, or take an assistant job. He could have and should have broken off for the Pro's last year but now he is no longer a good head coaching candidate there.

The fact that Notre Dame is 0-5 right now is more than just beautiful. Words can not describe how I feel about Notre Dame's record. Did I think it would happen.....no. But I am glad it did. And for all you Notre Dame fans, Charlie Weiss is not the problem. He is not the solution either. I believe the best thing for Notre Dame to do is to join the Big Ten. The Big Ten needs Notre Dame, and Notre Dame needs the Big Ten. Simple as that.

Notre Dame was the home of the Golden Dome, now it's the home of the Golden Doom,I wonder what dumb city will invite them to play in their bowl game this year

Get ready to hear more of the same genius talk. Someone is bound to say Weis is a genius enduring the season with little talent.

I don't have an opinion. If they can't play, they shouldn't be getting any attention this year.
