I need help deciding what classes I should take my junior and senior year of high school?
I want to major in journalism and plan in attending UNC's school of mass communications and journalism. So far I have a GPA high enough to get in, but I am debating on what classes I should take to prepare myself for it. Since it is one of the best journalisms school in the nation, I want to be fully prepared. I need advice deciding whether I should take theater arts or digital media (working with cameras, photography, and video). I can only take one or the other because of my honors and AP classes. Some advice would be nice. Also, what other classes do you recomend I take in high school to prepare me?

I love to write it's my passion, but I also like taking pictures, however if I could do anything in the world, I would act, but I do realize that my chances of ever becoming successful and career of that sort, are slim to none. So it is really difficult for me to decide.

Why don't you speak to your college adviser or your guidance counselor. Look also at the UNC catalog and see if you get nay hints there.
Which of the two electives do you like the best? In which one will you probably receive a higher grade?

Can't you go some kind of vocational school that offers classes on photography? Just make sure you get in a journalism class at school. Are you a sophomore or a junior?

Are you interested in the writing career or the photography/video career? If writing, I recommend taking theatre arts. Partly because you'll be at a disadvantage if you get into a comparison on your photography/video skills with other applicants who may have that as their primary focus.
