I see this a lot. "The WWE sucks 'cause they don't have any competition". So let's try to kill off what "nobody" thinks is any real competition anyway.

The WWE has been around in one form or another since the early 60's. TNA has been in business for about 5 years. The WWE has 450 hours of programming a week. TNA has one hour. The WWE generates millions of dollars in merchandising. TNA doesn't have that (yet). The WWE has 160 or so wrestlers in their employ. TNA has maybe 30 or so. The WWE has the marketing dollars to get their top guys (and girls) into other avenues such as movies and national magazines, gaining exposure and recognition for the WWE. TNA doesn't have that.

Competition is good. When was the WWF/E at it's best? During the Attitude Era when it was competing against WCW and to a lesser extent, ECW. WCW had the money to compete against and beat the WWF but it self-destructed under poor management. ECW was a very small promotion that the WWF just bought instead of crushed. No competition equals complacency and the WWE lost it's "edge" and, slowly, it's viewers. Now the WWE is desperate and trying any- and everything, trying to find SOMETHING that works. The "something" it needs is competition.

TNA isn't big enough yet to be a "threat" to the WWE. But I do find it odd that although seemingly most people here on Answers say "TNA sucks" and TNA does very poor ratings, they are now given a two-hour prime time TV slot and are still doing their monthly PPVs.

TNA is the better wrestling product. Consistently better wrestling matches, fewer stupid storylines, and (in my opinion) better PPVs. And, maybe best yet, Jim Cornette does not need to be involved in any of the storylines! What's next for the WWE? Shane finds out he's adopted and feuds with Hornswoggle because "Dad always loved you best"? Or Stephanie finds out Hornswoggle's really the father of her baby?" Hey, it's the WWE, anything's possible and nothing's IMpossible.

And I think ECW's in the state it's in because Vince puts it on as is so people will think RAW and Smackdown are really better than they actually are. He keeps Burke, Punk, and Dreamer there so ECW gets SOME viewers.

I agree completely with Gary V on this one. Why do people want WWE to have no competiton?? TNA isn't a real threat right now, but those that watch it know that 5 years from now, when all Vince's big names have retired and all he has is Randy Orton & Co, TNA is going to be a way bigger force and a legitimate threat. They've only been in business for five years, with a television broadcast for three years, and they've expanded in a huge way since they started. In the last year alone, TNA was moved to a primetime day of airing, then a better timeslot, and now finally they are recieving an expansion to two hours. That's huge! Plus, they have a video game coming out with AMAZING graphics, as well as now having house shows and PPV's taking place not in Orlando. In short, while WWE has been sitting still, TNA is running forwards, and it won't be long before Vince realizes that they are a legitimate threat.

Why do people want TNA to go out of buisness? It's only a 5 year old company and has the best young talent in the U.S. right now. Besides competition is good, it will help both promotions better themselves. When WWE had no competition it became boring and stale, like it is right now. TNA will get a 2 hour deal on Oct. 4 lets hope it could deliver.

No,because if it got rid of TNA,it would be the lowest rated show, and it would just get low ratings on spike. And if there was no TNA,we would have no alternative to WWE when it was sucking.

TNA sometimes gets better ratings then ECW and ECW is on a Tuesday not Thursday so it would do nothing to affect TNA.

I just find it funny that people actually think Tna will somehow surpass the WWE. I think Vince keeps ECW around cause he knows its crap and he laughs his @$$ off knowing Tna cant even beat ECW in the RATINGS !!!
