He is saying that colored people live in misery because they are slaves, that they have a right to freedom and that they should rise up in rebellion against their oppressors.

Its what message 'was' David Walker trying to send to colored citizens of the Southern United States in the 1820s. That message was, "David Walker's objective was nothing short of revolutionary. He would arouse slaves of the South into rebelling against their master."
