If its on her face is acne, and you LEAVE IT ALONE.

If its ONLY on her scalp its probably some sort of cradle cap.

But without seeing it its hard to know what to tell you to do.

Aquaphore for baby's has no perfume or dye what so ever. It is so gentle and pure it will surely help allot, not that it will all clear up fast , because it might be the moms hormones left in the baby.Wash the baby gently in aquaphore and use the aquaphore petroleum it is even clearer than Vaseline.Only use dreft to wash the baby's clothes, and no dryer sheets. Also the mother should wash her shirts in dreft too and no perfume on her clothes. As for others holding the baby they could put a towel over their shoulders. Make sure bedding is always clean and dry where the baby sleeps and make sure there are no bed bugs. To doubly sure she should just go to the pediatrician and have the baby looked at.

My son had a rash all over his legs, back of his neck, and exposed parts of his arm. Then, my sister's son, (one month younger) developed the same kind of rash. My sister found out that it was the Graco Snugride Metropolitan car seat (the one I also have) that was causing contact dermatitis.
I took my son to two dermatologists and two pediatricians to help diagnose what's wrong. They gave me steroid cream and told me to watch my diet, watch what I bath him in, etc. Turns out, once I covered the car seat, the rash went away. So beware - - my pediatrician said it could be the flame retardant chemicals they use that may be causing it.

Good luck.....

Go ahead and take the infant to the pediatrician. Even though it is not serious i would have it checked out.
