only popular in US or UK?

There are a few british bands that I thought were one hit wonders but turns out that they had multiple hits and long careers in Britain even though they only surfaced shortly in America. This got me to thinking about the reverse situation. What are some widely popular american bands or solo artists that have only had one hit or no hits at all in Britain?

John Denver only had one hit in the UK even though he had a string of them in the US from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s. Another artist that also never caught on in the UK was Paul Revere & The Raiders.
