Assumptions:
They have made it all the way here (they can travel safely).
He is inviting me (I can understand him!)
He is inviting me to his planet (this could mean that he knows the trip is safe for me).
He is from another planet (he's not human -- maybe he is not devious, then).
I always want to learn more and see new places.

Yes, I'd go.

How would you define "friendly looking"? A lot of politicians are friendly looking but I wouldn't believe most of them they tell you what they think you want to hear.
I think after the initial shock I think my curiosity would win and I would have to look around. I don't know if I would want to travel to it's home planet without first knowing what to expect

It's definitely a scary thought to imagine what sorts of things they'd do to you, but you have to assume that if they have the tech to get here and to communicate with us, then probably they have the technology to snatch us against our will anyway, so the very fact that they ask is probably a good sign that they're not here to do horrible, unspeakable things.

I so want to see what's out there - I'd probably do it.

I would so do it. That's like a once in a lifetime experience. Who else gets to do that? Even if I thought they would kill me or probe me I'd do it! As long as they guaranteed I would have air and water and food! Other than that, that would be so damn amazing. I wish that actually happened haha

No I saw this in the Twilight Zone. It's a cook book and they want to eat us.

"Don't get into a strange alien's spaceship!" - all parents should be teaching this to their children.
