this is actually a very easy thing to do. first you kinda have to download itunes so go to www.itunes.com and it is free so no worries. then you follow the steps and procedures of downloading it. then once it is all downloaded open both programs, make them small so when u are using one you can still see the other. then click on windows media player and highlight the songs u downloaded and drag them over to itunes. go to the little ipod on itunes and hit sync music and in a few it will be downloaded :]
hope this works for u like it did for meeee! : ]

People saying you need to use iTunes exclusively are wrong.
You can use other software to do it, and there are better options...
My favorite alternative for putting files on iPods is called ephPod. Its main function is to move songs onto iPods. It's faster than iTunes and lets you keep all the sync options (if you want).
It's also really easy to use.

hit upon the actually track documents, and drag, or replica them into Itunes. From itunes, i think of you are able to ought to make a CD and then import them into wmp, because of the fact the songs you get carry of from itunes are not interior the applicable format.

There's no way you can do this. Only with iTunes can you upload your music to your iPod, and for good reason: iTunes is a much better music player!
