I know most people won't even consider my answer, but Testaverde can get the job done. I mean why did Brady get it done, because of his O-Line, Moss (and they still have Stallworth), and how can you still count out their 'D', Brady was is just an average QB to me but with the right tools at hand. But still, it's pretty rare for Brady to get injured.

Vinny was cut by the Pats in the last week of the pre-season. Brady really is that good. Look at what he has done in the past with half the talent at WR. Last year they were two minutes from the Super Bowl with Reche Caldwell as their biggest threat. Brady is a leader who will be remembered as one of the greats by the time his career is all said and done.
What makes him so great is that he is never satisfied. He could complete 19 out of 20 passes and he would say well I didn't complete all 20 so I have some work to do. He also takes his mistakes like a man and does not through his team under the bus like some other quarterback us Pats fan know quite well.

No Karma... the Patriots are good... Tom Brady is the best QB ever. He's not average... I mean, when he won his first superbowl he had one of the WORST O-Lines in the NFL and he had to move around the pocket and escape hits and even when he was hit... just like now, he nails his reciever 85% of the time. Tom Brady is the most spectacular case of an underdog going above and beyond to prove that he is better then just a back-up QB... and that has translated itself into one of the most prolific NFL careers any of us will ever see play out on the football field. People don't like him now... but they will respect him later and eventually admit that he was the best they have ever seen play the position. And I am not sure the Patriots would still win without Brady... he is the glue that holds that team together... if there is anything he might be better at then being a QB... it is a leader, and that in itself is a big reason that team is as successful as it is. I love Vinny though... he DESERVES a Superbowl!

Considering Testeverde is not on the roster he probably wont be playing for the pats no matter who gets hurt.
But to answer your question, from hypothetical no. Could the patriots still win a superbowl with Vinny, maybe. Vinny back when he was younger was a good as anybody but he had his talent wasted on bad franchises such as the Jets, Browns and Bucs. Testeverde is (or at least was) a good quarterback, thats hard to argue against but he is not as good as Brady.
When Brady went out in the playoffs against Pittsburg back in 2001 season, Bledsoe came in went 4 of 4 cold off the bench, led the pats to the win. Not too many said well Bledsoe should be the starter again.

First off Cassel would DEFINATLEY start Vinny definatly wouldn't.
Second...No Brady hasn't had Moss all these years, or any other WR's really. His O-Lines has always been descent..but this year they're outstanding, he's also had good coaching too. If Brady got hurt I highly doubt they would have a succesful a year as they would if he didn't.

i dont think vinny could play 10 to 12 games...Matt Castel is decent .....but the reason Testverde is on the practice squad and not # 3 QB is because the Pats have a kid named Matt Gutierrez that was an undrafted free agent,And they dont want to lose him.And if Castle doesnt show much improvement they will probably ship him off to eroup.

Dude Vinny would take the drop back and his knee would buckle. He wouldn't lead them anywhere. Although if he lead them to the Superbowl we would all have PROOF that the Pats are still cheating.
