i have came of the depo injection in march so i know that my cycle is all over the place but i have had a period last month 22nd august but nothing this month i have done a ovulation test today and it came up positive is it possible x x

Yes, the reason you haven't had your period is because you are just now ovulating. If the ovulation test is positivve today, then have sex for the next 4 days, to conceive. If you don't conceive, then you should expect your period in approximately 14 days, give or take. You always ovulate before you have a period. Even if you skip a period you will still most likely ovulate again before having another.
So yes, if the ovulation test strip says you're surge is happening you'll be releasing and egg within 48 hours.

you may be ovulating late-not everyone has a 28 day cycle so not everyone ovulates on day 14. i have a long cycle at the moment but still believe i am ovulating as i can tell by cervical mucus-you will know what i mean! i think i ovulated on day 31 this cycle,

Maybe you should take a pregnancy test and find out =) Or you could just be ovulating really late. But...there's two ways to find out. Take a pregnancy test, or wait and see if you start your period in about two weeks. Good Luck!
