most music rights can be obtained from Harry Fox Agency, try HFA.com. they represent the composers rights. however rights to the recordings made by the record labels is entirely another matter. If your HS has a music group or band, they can cover the recording.

However, if this is just for your own use, or a school project that will not be distributed. then both the music and recording would fall under the "fair use" provision, and permissions are not needed.
