An elemental compound is a molecule made out of two or more elements like H20. Elements are the fundamental particles of chemistry and matter. You can't divide an element into its sub-components without breaking apart the atom itself. Another words an element is a single atom. A compound is more than one element, which may or may not be combined in a molecule.

Gasoline is a chemical compound made out of two or more molecules in another words it is a combination of a combination of elemental compounds.

Also, as in the case of gasoline you can have elemental compounds that form molecules that are in a mix where they all don't combine into molecules. Gasoline has hydrocarbons, lead, octane, detergents and other ingredients that are separate compounds and molecules. Gasoline is a substance, which can be any mix of elements or molecules.

An element is is made of all the same atoms.
such as iron, helium ,carbon. They are all in the periodic table. When you say something is in it's elemental form it has no other elements in it.

Compounds can be many different elements combined.
