Do you think it would be a good thing, if everone was military and weapon trained?

As a matter of national defense! Not a draft, but a working mandatory law that required defense training that would help curtail street crime and home invasions, that seem to spike in this last decade. When israel was again established in 1948, women and men were in the fields with weapons at their side. The madia failes to report the many times people saved themselves and others with a weapon at their access, a lot of times not even have to use it, or fire upon the bad guys. Let's face reality, these are perilous times we live in. We were able to take hunting safety courses in school, and bring guns into the shop classes to get practical credit, cleaning and maintaining them. Are we too immature to do this now?

every person when they get to age eighteen should go thru basic training and taught how to drive safely .and taught some manners and about having civlity.theres a town in N.C. that made a law saying every homeowner should have a weapon

Well, it is good, but it will not happen until we are hit hard by these religious nuts, sad but real. Our youth walk the streets, dumb as dirt to the things that matter, and seeking thrills thru pleasure and will not sacrifice even their time. They make time for cell phones, texting and sports,and rather have abortions than raise a child.When they manage to hold a gun, they either shoot themselves or someone else, they somehow see glory in this, and often brag about how bad they are, yeah they are bad allright, rotten bad!

Wouldn't that also entail training home invaders and street criminals in military and weapons tactics? Wouldn't they be the one's to get the most benefit from and practice with this training with their lifestyles of relentless violence?
