HECK YES.
like depending on the situation, you can threaten them in many different ways when it comes to hitting them in the balls, and it usually makes them stop.
EX: they could be like talking and they wont shut up, so you could be like "If you don't shut up, I'm gonna hit you in the balls!!!!!"
I actually find it funny when you threaten to hit a guy in the balls, and they back down

Haha. I have hurt a guy's balls. And yes...it works. They will change their attitude in an instant. The guy I did it too was mad at me for a while but now we look back on it and laugh because he finally realized what a jerk he was being. So I would try it...see what happens. You don't have to actually do it, just threaten him like you said. Much Love and Luck!
