Where you pleased with them?

Mine are
Contraband - Velvet Revolver
Bloody Kisses - Type O Negative
The Sky is Crying - Stevie Ray Vaughan
[Yes i'm aware they are all old albums, but they are recent purchases.]

I recieved them in the post a few days ago.

I put off buying Contraband for all this time, because i was terrified that it'd disappoint me, and not live up to GN'R standards.
I regret putting it off for so long, the album is great.
There's something about Scott Weiland's voice that i dislike, but i'm slowly coming 'round to it.

Bloody Kisses... hmm.
I don't know what my opinions on it are at the moment. It didn't blow me away first time around. [apart from Christian Woman and Black No.1]

The Sky is Crying - an excellent blues album, i love every song. SRV was an extremely talented guitarist.

I bought Blink 182 Greatest Hits and a double Slade CD a month or so ago from the bargain bin. As for new stuff i got Velvet Revolver- Libertad and Foo Fighters- Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. All 4 were brilliant.

Mika - Life in a Cartoon World

Curt Smith's - Halfway Pleased

A Fine Frenzy's - One Cell In the Sea

Most recently I bought:
Radiohead's Amnesiac (which I only had on MiniDisc before now)

David Geraghty's "Kill Your Darlings" (he's an Irish musician, and member of the band Bell X1)

Declan O'Rourke's "Big Bad Beautiful World" (another Irish musician)

Of Montreal's "The Bedside Drama A Petite Tragedy"

With the exception of the Of Montreal album, I was really pleased with all of them (obviously I'd already heard Amnesiac, but it's still nice to have it on CD). I got the Of Montreal album because they released an album this year, "Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?", which is really amazing, so I was a bit disappointed that the one I bought wasn't as great. Oh well!

Into the Wild Soundtrack-Eddie Vedder
Planet Earth-Prince
Seastories-Minnie Driver
Libertad-Velvet Revolver

Minnie Driver's second album is not nearly as good as her first (Everything I Got In My Pocket). Prince is a throwaway (an album a year means sometimes you make subpar albums). Still absorbing Into the Wild. Good though. I'm really diggin Velvet Revolver and glad you are too!
