Some of my favorite movies are Oldboy, Devil's Backbone, The Thing, Night of the Living Dead,The Host, Salem's Lot, Lifeforce, Dead Alive, Army of Darkness, and Pumpkinhead.

Here's an incomplete ranking of my favorite horror movies:

-Its not completey worked out yet...

Yes, I'm a geek, but I love horror movies and can't seem to find anything fresh that I even want to see. I think most of the horror movies that come out are crap and its a matter of finding that 1 out of 30 that I really love. Any help is much appreciated!

...just checked out a riotously funny and gruesome horror/comedy, which was recently released, and which I would very much recommend; it's called "The Mad", and it stars Billy Zane...

...Zane plays a disgruntled father, on the road with his prissy, high-maintenance wife, his angst & dysfunctional daughter, and her new boyfriend, whom the father far from approves of...

...they are on the road, and they stop off in a shanty little town, for the night, and to get something decent to eat; unbeknownst to them, the beef being served at the weathered and beaten shack of a restaurant, just ain't right...and before they know it, the townfolk are turning into undead flesh-eating maniacs...

...this is one of those films, that will have you laughing one moment, and then shreiking with horror, the next; this one really should have gotten at least some limited theatrical play...

...check it out here; I even found a trailer for the film!!!

How about, the hills have eyes (1&2), rest stop, the scream movies are a classic and wrong turn, but those are more gore then good wholesome horror movies.

House of 1000 corpses.

It's actually really creepy. Not too realistic at many points but itll freak you right out. I's pretty mesed up.

That's Rob Zombie for you.
