I think she /was/.
I really enjoy her music from when she was in Hole.
I don't know what it was about her in her early years wth Hole, but i like it.
I'm not so fond of her solo work however.
It's not great at all.
What do you think?

I agree with everything you said. I loved her in her day but now, it's just crap.
She's just one of those artists that can't seem to put songs together. Apparently Eric (Erlanson, haven't thought about them for so long I've forgotten how to spell his name) wrote most of the material in Hole and now I can believe it.
I don't agree that nobody would know who she was if it weren't for Kurt. I was always a much bigger fan of hers, than of Kurt's.

She is mediocre. She didn't spend enough time learning to play her guitar, AND she's not much of a singer. Although, she did find a marketable niche for her work. Of course, it didn't hurt that she got to ride the coattails of Kurt. I think her work is bland at best, and completely uninspired. I know it sounds like I'm hating on her, but I'm really not trying to. I even own 3 Hole albums. I just don't think she can produce good music without somebody to help her, Billy Corgan, and the likes....She just seems like such a horrible person, she makes it hard to appreciate anything she does.

Forgetting about all the nonsense associated with her and that is putting it very kindly, she is an average musician at best. If not for her marriage to Kurt, I doubt anyone would even know who she is.

Hole was a really good band! It doesn't matter what people think/thought of Courtney Love, she was still pretty deadly!

I think she is too, but don't they say that all creative musicians go down that 'downward spiral'? Just look at what her husband did. I used to envy her gorgeous look too but that's another thing that she seems to have let slip...

i really like her music, i love the celebrity skin album and rercently found a song called plague by her, though i have no idea how old it is.
shes wonderful and her music makes me feel really happy, even though most of its depressing. its also best played loudly.

I really like her stuff,Hole are great and her solo work is really good,'America's Sweetheart' is one of my favourite cd's.
