I think 7ft as well. I think its important for the tree to come as close to the roof as possible without touching it. Therefore, the higher the roof, the taller the tree should be.

7 feet .. and I have a 6 foot Christmas Tree as well. I like one in the Entry Great Room and another in the Family Room at my home (Christmas is a favorite time of the year for me!).

Mine is 6ft. Would be taller but I would have to lift the roof! I set it on a 2 ft. stand with a skirt round the bottom and all the pressies too, along with a little nativity scene. I have a big star on the top.

My christmas tree is 5 ft. I can't bear to part with it , it's a beauty, with fir cones and fake snow. It looks lovely as it is, without all the decorations on.

One in the lounge is 6 feet - one in the hall as close to 12 feet as I can get (real tree!!)
