I mean, so you ride through country ,& see nothing but land,or perhaps forest..does ALL land belong to someone somewhere?

Yes. It belongs to the federal or state government or to the Indian tribes or to International Paper (they own huge chunks of east Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas), farmers or others. Big parts of west Texas belong to the University of Texas and is leased out to ranchers with the money used to help pay the costs of the University.

that is a very interesting question.

i would think so, never really thought about it though. it seems to me that it would have to be. if it is in the country or somewhere surrounded by houses i would guess that someone around there would own the land.

by a lake/river/park or traveling and seeing huge patches of land/wooded areas or something,would guess it might be owned by the state or something like that.
