I am unaware of any "imperialists" located in or around D.C.

How could there be? This would generally require an Empire, which there hasn't been in the world for hundreds of years

"Imperialist in Washington who let the suffer?" -- I joined the Corps in 2004, time of war, I voluntered for the Infantry. I had an idea of what I was getting myself into. I signed up to serve my country, not and Empire, knowing the possible outcomes, war doesn't allow everyone to come home just as they went. Reality, war is hell. --- If you want to support us, then stop making ignorant statements --- liberals, armchair warriors, why would you even try to impose doubt into the minds of the troops that you claim to support?

Also, no one is letting us suffer. We chose this route, and the goverment has treated us well, regardless of one or two stories you may have heard... veterans are being taken care of. If you want to support us, then keep shut and let us do our job.

Imperialists as in the Democrats in the Congress? Shouldn't they be doing something about that? They were the ones around the election time that thought that they could come in and withdraw the troops like it was nothing...yet...we are still in Iraq.

I wish the libs and cons on this site (99% of you who've never served, I'm sure) would stop putting the troops in the middle of the political debate.

They took an oath to follow orders, period. As such they can not question the politics behind those orders. Therefore, tying a civilian's loyalty to political ideals with supporting troops is both idiotic and inappropriate and actually does more harm to the troops than anything else.

When I served our team leader never allow us to talk politics on a mission because it can distract from the focus of the mission.

You want to support the troops? Then leave them OUT of the political debate!

Since my Son and Brother-in-law are part of those troops, then Yes I can say I really do!

the only ones who let the troops suffer are the pelosi/reid regime who is at this point trying to pin 29billion in more pork spending to the defense bill..the idea that harry reid would tie defense projects to his pet pork spending is truly shameful.

Yes, which is why I thought it was a bad idea to send them there in the first place (you know, back in 2003, when this whole mess started).

Conversely, the neo-con tells you he is in favor of the troops, and that liberals are not, but then fails to explain why our government does not take care of our wounded, disabled, etc....

Do you even know how the troops feel about you talking like this?? These honorable couragous men chose to serve, they actually chose to, not drafted like in most situations!! How is it you don't appreciate this fact? Wait until the draft HAS to be enacted and then you will have a right to complain!

It's clear that Republicans do not give a flip about the actual troops themselves, just the war mongering itself.

Yes I support the troops and feel so bad for them being used in a War that was created on lies. They are being used as political pawns.
