Only if you have limited RAM at the moment. You need a minimum of about 128mb of RAM, but you should get full speed from about 512mb, anything more than that won't really affect it.

Your actual download and upload speeds are limited by the speed of your line connection - nothing to do with what's in your PC. You can get a kind of speed boost if you use a download accelerator though, Google Accelerator is free.

RAM is used to allow your computer to multi task and run more applications at the same time. It also allows your computer to run more demanding programs (such as video editing, and games) more smoothly. Regarding your internet. It is determined by your internet connection. Some factors such as the number of computers hooked onto the same internet connection might decrease it a bit or make it lag (less bandwidth allocation), but RAM would just let your computer open more browser tabs or windows at the same time and let you switch between them faster. Aside from this, RAM is still an excellent way to give your desktop or laptop the extra boost without taking a heavy blow to your wallet. If you want faster internet, call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and ask them to upgrade your connection.

No, it does not. You will be able to open more pages at once, but the actual speed of the internet is dependent on

1) Your download speed
2) The server (website)'s upload speed.
