has anyone ever herd of a laptop named acer?

i have a laptop named acer i never herd of this company,so i need to know if this is a good company?

Acer is the best retail laptop to get. In fact, I'm using my Acer Aspire right now. I've had it for two years, and it hasn't so much as annoyed me yet. Acer usually sells the laptop retails for around $600, and its perhaps the best entry-level laptop. The Aspire model acts usually as the desktop notebook. The TravelMate series allow for greater mobility. Usually Acer equips the notebooks with AMD for desktop processing, and Travelmate usually has the Intel Centrino for greater battery life. The RAM is usually 1024 MB and the hard drives come anywhere from 80-160 GB depending on what your configurations are. They even made a partnership with Ferrari and made more demanding notebooks under that name. DVD-RW seems to come standard now a days with these laptops, and the price difference isn't too great in retail electronic stores, usually ranging only $100-$200. HP laptops are best for media work, and I personally don't like Dell computers or laptops. Apple computers are ideal for graphic design or engineer work so they add on a couple hundred dollars as well. Overall, if you're getting your first laptop, or intend to use it for everyday applications, Acer would be a good bet.

Acer has been a computer manufacturer for several years. I've always been a desktop system guy, and decided to get a laptop for road trips. I bought an Acer Aspire 3100, bumped the memory up to 2 gigabytes, and it runs Windows Vista just fine. It came with 1 gigabytes of memory, which Vista will run on.

I never owned an Acer before, but some friends have, and they seem to have been very satisfied with their systems.

What ever brand of laptop you get, if it runs Vista, think about upgrading the memory right away. Specially, if you like to run high graphic games on it, or edit photos.

I'm no laptop expert but i spend like 50% percent of my time on the cmputer, they make a good laptop but i fnd it's slow i would deffenitly go with a mac they are pretty expensive but you will get goo results

they must be decent enough, see them at every electronic store...just a smaller name brand making it cheaper for pretty much the same thing. a girl at my work just got one and likes it. dont have to buy a "name brand" most of the time they're made by the same people anyways
