I got a breast augmentation 11 days ago. I was a 36B and went to a 36D (500cc's) with smooth, round Mentor implants placed submuscularly through my crease. I am just wondering how long it will take before my implants begin to settle in the pocket. I am a 24 yr. old physically active female, and as such, have very strong pectoral muscle tissue. My implants ride high right now. (The highest point is about 2 in. from my collarbone. Any info on how LONG it took any other women's implants to start to settle in the pocket would be extremely helpful, and would help with my patience. lol.

It'll take a while for them to drop. They'll probably start dropping in about 2-4 weeks. Your breasts will continue to change throughout the year but by the end of the first year, they should be finished and you'll have your end results. Some plastic surgeons are very much against massaging since it's very controversial. However my board certified plastic surgeon is very much for it. I found that massaging it sped up the drop and fluff process pretty well. And got them very much softer. If you surgeon does want you to massage he can probably give you a guide on doing so. You can also find some over the internet with google or yahoo. But it's best you follow your doctors orders. 500cc is alot. I'm surprised you aren't bigger than a D. Don't go out and buy any bras yet though! They get bigger as they d & f. I was a 32smallB and am now a 32D and that was with 320cc implants filled to 350cc and 360cc. I'm a member of this really great forum at www.breastimplants411.com. You can get answers for all your questions. I learned the most from these women. They really nice and know more about this than anyone because of experience. You'll need to create a user ID and password. You'll probably have to call in to verify yourself (as a woman of course) and then click forum at the top, then scroll down to the breast augmentation discussion forum. You can post, answer, or just browse topics. You can even see other women's results and their before and after pictures for a comparision of your progress. Best of luck!
