Yes I regreted every dreaded moment. The benefits from being married? Having a strong bond with your children and assuring them a solid future. I had asked her politely too keep her work at work. Her only conversation at home was about her client base. The rest of her time was spent reading novels watching Sci-Fi and getting fatter by the week. I filed for a Divorce. I have a lady who is willing to wait until I am out from under this blanket that I live under every dark day. After looking back at this meaningless marriage it has opened up my eyes to the real World that awaits me. I will break my bond with my Fiance and enjoy my life in my own fashion and modest style of living on the East Coast.
What does your heart tell you? Go by your inner instinct and live within your own comfort zone.

I felt I would be better on my own for at least 10 years before I actually divorced. I was right; I AM much better on my own and so are our children. I stayed for their sake, but see now that was a mistake. Do I regret being married? Not for a second! I have two wonderful sons, so how could I regret that?

I've been married to my wife for almost three years, and there have been many times that I felt as though I would be better off with out her. I think anyone who can answer no to this question is either lying or have themselves convinced. (still lying) It's a trade off. Most days I am happy with her and with my decision. There are always going to be those moments. I know I deal with it all a lot better and have a lot more insight into it since we did marriage counseling. Marriage counseling was extremely helpful.

Being on my own would be best.

Sometimes I feel connected, but it's rare, mostly because I feel some sort of obligation.
