Whats wrong with me?

i cough and cough and cough in the night. i have drainage, i sleep about 15-19 hours a day, i sniff and sniff, my head hurts and im still dead dog tired after i sleep all tht much. and my throat hurts a lot from coughing so much. . . anyone have a clue?

Take some antibiotics, decongestant and pain reliever. Warm saline gargles will also help.

First off, I would say you need to go to a doctor. If it started out as just in your head, you more than likely developed a sinus infection. Due to the drainage, it sounds like it is moving to your chest. Look in the back of your throat and see if you have white patches there. If there are, you more than likely have strep. Go to a doctor. If nothing, I would recommend a type of nasal decongestant like sudafed. You can get the stuff with actual psudophederine at the pharmacy counter. That should help with your headache and slow or stop the drainage. If you feel you have mucus in your chest, I recommend Mucinex. It is an expectorant and will help loosen the mucus in your lungs so you can get it out. It also comes with a cough suppressant if you want it. While the medicine kicks in, some sore throat drops should help with your throat. Get some rest and I hope you feel better.

You need to see a pulmonologist. If he can get rid of the cough and the drainage, maybe you can get some decent sleep. Yes, I have a clue. My diagnosis would be asthma. But see the dr. and I'm sure he can do something to relieve your symptoms.
