Ah, but there need not be a choice! I look at the big picture, but, I also live for the moment when things get too predictable.

It's part of the human nature. No matter how old we get, we still have that childish part inside us or else the world would be doomed and gloomy. There are people who are scared of the bigger picture and so they don't dare to think. There are people who wonder if this is all that is to their own life and no more and so they don't want to see the bigger picture. It is not that they don't know that this bigger picture exists. They just don't want to waste time thinking about it. They have their everyday life to live which can be more than enough. Say for example this war in Iraq. What is the bigger picture ? You expect the world to believe that somehow Iraq will have peace. Well, given the present circumstances, the bigger picture I have in my head is more people dying if your troops don't pull out and this terrorism thing would just spread because the thought that is in the terrorists' mind is U.S.A. is their enemy. And to think further even based on predictions, probably Iraq will not exist anymore. By that time, none of us will be around anymore.

I look at the big picture to manage my life on a specific track that I chose to walk on, but I also live for the moment cause I don't want to have a stressful life. It's a question of strategy.

When one resides in the moment they fail to encounter the big picture. Living in the moment leaves your fuel supply
depleted and you're always out of reserves when you need them the most. That's why I like to plan my journeys and know that nothing is to be taken for granted. Life is too short. Peace.
Always analyze the big picture.
