sometimes parents think they know whats best for you and they dont. Sometimes they think they know whatchu want to do when you grow up and they dont. But we're all human and all make mistakes. When your a parent you'll probly make mistakes too.

Being over protective and not letting a child be a child...talking negitive about the other parent (if the parents are divorce or just in a argument) exposing your kids to too much at an early age.

The lock on the closet door is on the INSIDE instead of the outside!! JK!!!!! (really I am just kidding !)

The mistake that my parents made was that they were very racist. We weren't allowed to play with other kids if they weren't white. Well imagine the "trauma and the drama" when my first born was black/white mixed!!!! You guessed it~imagine how quickly they wanted to be grand parents and how they changed their view of black and white!!!!

I became a social worker, and I had no time for racism, or any type of superficial judgment or prejudice~I am a better person for it, and I remember growing up how much I despised my parents for their closed mindedness and the shallowness they had when it came to others that were of a different culture or ethnicity.

I think the biggest mistake they make is allowing others to raise their kids. I made the choice of raising my kids with less money rather than send them to daycare so I could have more money. In my world having control of the content put into my kids forming brains was more important than having the latest of gadgets.

They forget that they were teens once, and just want everything to go their way. They don't realize that for a teen to be a responsible adult it has to make decisions and mistakes.

pushing thier religion on them, not letting them listen to whatever music they want even if they don't like it, making stupid rules based on your pet peeves and enforcing them with an iron fist, telling your kids to not "talk back", denying them any of the rights listed in the constitution besides maybe right to bear arms, but if you're good parents they won't try to shoot you anyway, living through them, abusing them

Some think that we should do as they did when they were children...'mum can I please pluck my eyebrows?'.....'no! 13 is too young, I plucked mine when I was 16!'

just an example, it's so silly.....I plucked them anyway, I didn't like going against her wishes but I wasn't about to get made fun of in school for having bushy eyebrows!
