Even though it says I am connected to my wireless network... But other computers in my house can connect wireless... what can I do?

If you have to ask, then surely you can't setup the wireless network in such a secure way that OTHER PEOPLE (like neighbours) can't browse your network! And monitor things like credit card info if you purchase something over the internet!
So, in your case, you shouldn't use wireless; you should use (UTP-)cables.
Millions of people totally underestimate the importance of wireless security.
ANYONE using a laptop in a car in front of your house, with the right tools (which everybody can download freely), can hack your computer if the wireless isn't setup as secure as possible. And the fact that you don't know how to connect the computer, implies that you don't know enough about the security.
Internetprovides couldn't care less, if your network is secure or not. Do not listen to them! They just tell you are that it's secure.

Don't get me wrong... But just please don't use wireless (at all) if you don't know things about wireless security.
You better ditch the wireless router and get an old fashioned one which only work with cables, or find out how to disable the wireless function of the wireless router (if it also supports cables).

Or, ofcourse, read up about the security of wireless networks. But it aint easy.

PLEASE read this, if you care about security AT ALL:
