I read something in sports illustrated about the Patriots' spying, i forget the exact words, but it said something to the effect of "And many coaches and players agree this happens all the time.." and the article goes on to basically say that this happens fairly often but someone had basically told on the Patriots... is this true? How common in the NFL is their method of spying or spying altogether?

I believe the Miami dolphins admitted to buying a tape from a fan before they played the patriots, when the pats got crushed like 21-0. The tape was pretty much exactly what they pats did themselves, except included offense signals too.

I have been an NFL fan for over 30 years and i can assure you this is not something new.You are correct hat coaches and players know this happens but little is done to try to track it.I remember a case back in 1980 where a certain individual was working for the sole called Americas team and that person was caught breaking into the Eagles offices and stealing there play books, that has happened more than once.

People don't seem to realize that every team gets 2 cameras to tape ANYTHING they want. The Pats only cheated because they used a 3rd on the field, when the 2 are up in the boxes.

The phrase is "if you're not cheating, you're not trying." Every teams goes after little edges to put bits of the game in their favor, some try to get away with more than others.

Spying is common in general. It's like stealing signals in baseball. Everyone tries and some accomplish it. Using CAMERAS and TAPING it though ISN'T the norm. Everyone wants to defend the Pats though.

hahaha! How long is this going to be talked about. Dude, EVERY COACH IN THE NFL CHEATS! It is really the most cheater-friendly sport. Bill crossed the line, got fined, and I am sure he won't do it again. Now drop it already
