Goldfish will pretty much eat any plant you put in there tank, so fast growing, semi-toxic plants are best as they will discourage consumption. Java Moss and Java Fern both grow very quickly and supposedly taste horrible. Anubias also taste awful, but grow quite slowly... Avoid plants with long, broad leaves like Swords and Crypts as they will likely be destroyed.

I recommend getting some hyacinth or water lettuce, you can buy this at G&M for probably around 3 dollars each. Both of these plants multiply really quickly, so don't worry about buying a ton of it either. If you don't have a G&M around, you should go to petsmart. Good job on taking care of the fish, most people don't realize that goldfish can live for decades.

I buy my live plants from PetSmart. Tell one of the workers what type of fish you have and they will tell you the best kind to get. Make sure you rinse the plant in cold water before putting it into your tank though because they often come with snails who will multiply like no other and are very hard to get rid of. Also, make sure you put the plant root down in the gravel enough so it can keep growing and stay alive.

sure, it is going to look marvelous and would desire to upload some reliable snacks for the goldfish!! they are going to harm anacharis, combamba, and hornwort and make a great mess, so because it is recommended to evade those flora, different than you do no longer concepts the extensive mess. they in many circumstances wont consume java moss. And sure feed as time-honored...attempt some Hikari goldfish nutrition its the purely surprising nutrients. reliable fulfillment.
