I have given away presents I didn't like without re-wrapping them. I just passed'em on to the next person.

When we bought an old house, there was an old fly fishing rig in a nice wooden box. I sanded down the box and re-varnished it, and cleaned up the rod and real. Then gave it to my Dad for Christmas. He likes old stuff like that. He got a kick out of it, even if he can't fish anymore due to a shoulder injury.

Oh, yes "indeedie do."
Last year for my birthday,
a good friend gave me
a new toaster.
I didn't need a new one,
I had just had a yard sale
and got rid of all the stuff
we weren't taking to Texas.
This year when her daughter
got married, I wrapped it up,
added some of my recipes to it
and sent it to the daughter.
I got the nicest thank you
card from her.

yeah, you get a lot of gift sets when you're a girl, you know the things with bath and body lotion things in them. always way too much to use so i'd give them away as prizes for the kids in the school where i worked. either that or i'd just give them to a charity shop. i hate having too much stuff in the bathroom.
