Ha, I had a joke about that.
Marriage is just another way of saying "f*ck you"
But, to be mushy and sentimental about it,
Marriage is something that is the completion of a long, growing bond of friendship that pierces the most delicate parts of the heart. It's to know that the person that means more to you every day, will take you in as the other half of their life. It's really quite a sweet concept when not mistreated.
Of course, I'm not referring any to the gay thing. I think that it would be wonderful if everyone that experienced a powerful kind of love could express it with a practically ancient ceremony of possible beauty. But, sadly, I do think it's been beaten off the pedestal by people that marry for money, by people that abuse each other and themselves, and by people who don't consider what it could be.
Just my opinion, though. Marriage could be as lovely as the beginning of friendship, it just hasn't been lately.
At least the amount of arranged marriages has gone down from the number they used to be. Much unappiness that way.
But, you know, whatever floats the boat, I suppose. I just want it to mean something good to me. No matter if it's grand, or a vegas quickie, it's the meaning behind it that will make me appreciate every detail. :)

P.S the only reason you people talk bad about marriage is because no one would marry you people.
