Jeez, what a bunch of whiney babies. Wah! They're cheating!

Sounds to me like good strategy. Learn what kind of signals the other teams use for communication and adapt to it. If you are going to whine about someone learning from your signals, fine the people using them.

That's what I'm talking about. If you can figure out what the other teams are communicating to thier players, you can use that to your own advantage. It sounds like a great idea to me. If the other coaches are going to go about flashing around hand signals and what not, use it.

It seems like a silly thing to worry about. I know it's illegal according to the rulebooks, but why?

And I am sure you wouldn't need me to tell you what I am about to do at Madden '08 b/c I completely suck at video games and I don't know a thing about football.

Finding a teams tendencies is one thing, taping signals then comparing that against yards to go and what down it is is going overboard. Your no longer going over game film and determining that the team likes to run a screen to the left on third and three, you know for a fact that on third on three if a certain hand sign comes down thats what they are running and to who they are running the play to. On defense doing the same thing you know that if its third and five the team is going to run a SS blitz on the weak side, you can call the play to beat it 9 out of 10 times. If your in the same division as that team you have 2 times a year to tape them doing this then use it against them in playoffs or the beginning of next year. It gives the team taping an unfair advantage. You dont believe me hop on Madden 08 and play me, but before you run a play tell me what it is so I can call the play that will stop it or enable me to score.

BECAUSE ITS ILLEGAL. They are using it to get the defensice signals from the jets. Its part of the rules and gives the other team an unfair advantage

it's called cheating, that's what's wrong with it. If you have to video tape a teams signals, that tells me you don't have faith in your on team to get the job done. like tampa bay and Oakland for the NFL championship game. if gruden didn't know all the plays oakland ran he wouldn't have won. he hasn't won anything since.

Uh, probably because there's a rule stating you can't. Sounds like an illegal strategy to me. Nice try on the logic, but it ain't working for you.
