I have yet to hear one convincing argument. Most of the ones i hear remind me of the movie “The Gods Must Be Crazy,” a native in the Kalahari Desert encounters technology for the first time--in the shape of a Coke bottle.

I found this to be very amusing, but I also began to see parallels between his thought process, and that of the modern day Theist. Both are using CAVEMAN LOGIC to explain their world. I fail to see the difference between “hmm, bottle fall from sky, must be gods” and “hmm, trees, butterflies, sunsets and the complex human eye prove the existence of god.”

In both of these cases, someone is simply replacing one unknown for another unknown, but proving nothing!

Not only can God not be proven, but I will also go so far as to say that God can be disproved. It is impossible for something to be all knowing and all good. If you are aware that something bad is going to happen, and you allow it to happen anyway, then you cannot be all good. If God created everything, then he also created evil. It is also impossible to be all-powerful; can God create a rock that even he himself cannot move?

I would have thought that as man became more knowledgeable and logical that he would have pushed aside his caveman beliefs, but it seems to be just the opposite.

If you take the simple fact that his son had risen from the dead, and the bible speaks of his return, yet now one has seen it.
Solid evidence is the best evidence for fact, and none of the artifacts found can positively be proven to be gods. So the bible like a serious of short stories added to over and over for the children to spawn fear and respect would be the most logical answer.
Have you ever noticed that the bible no matter how in depth it was about anyone is not precise enough to make a educated guess on time, place, date, or anything else.
The idea of gods, or iconic symbol have been around since the beginnig of man. Or was it man that was here when these symbols where drawn. These are questions we can't answer.
The fact of the matter is it's funny of all the near death experiences you hear about how many of them come back to say they seen the gates of hell, instead of the pearly gate. It doesn't happen, because after years of pressure and training we all go to the same place, Worm food!

Well that is almost similar in question to "If no one is there to hear a tree fall, is there sound?" And for me the answer to that is "Even if man did not live on earth and did not live anywhere else in this universe, still, GOD IS.

God does not need humans to prove or disprove his existence. It is only man that thinks he needs to live in order for God to exist

There will always be a power greater than man and that is beyond his understanding. For man came into existence in a very short period of time long after the universe itself came into existence. There are tangible physical laws of science that existed long before man ever discovered them, that aided in the formation of everything in this known universe and on this earth. This includes both living and non living things.

That kind of power and knowledge that aided in the formation of all known things that exist in our universe I attribute to God. This is why God does not need man to prove his existence.

Why do you feel the need to be convinced one way or the other. Either you believe or you don't, sounds like you are not sure.

You can't use logic to prove the existence of God anymore than you can use faith to build a bridge.

Its a waste of time to argue over beliefs. There is no way to prove or disprove. Beliefs are not scientific evidence.
