oh yes that would be good just trying to tempt him especially with all the new things around compared with hes younger days

I might not be able to do that even if I wanted. A rich man did ask Jesus if he could follow Jesus. The reply was basically. 'Nope'. Jesus wasn't just a soft touch for just anything. Nowadays we like to patronise Jesus, and even abuse him by using his name in our swearing. But when you realise who he really is, you will see that he is not someone to mess about with. Not that he was violent or anything like that, but he he knew what he had to do and he did it, right before the Romans and many of his own countrymen who hated him. He did not back off even when he knew it would result in his death. And if he had sinned, do you not think that his friends and enemies would have found out? What makes us think that we are better at spotting these things than loads of religious men who were trained to spot the slightest violation in one of the strictest religions the world had ever seen?
