OK, I know Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor aren't everybody's cup of tea, but I happen to like both and they are now on at the same time, Not quite so bothered tonight coz I'm taping S.C.D. as it doesn't offically start until next week (tonight is just best bits etc etc) BUT I read in my tele mag today that as from next week they will be on at the same time to and prob the following weeks as well.

Oh well rant over.

ps Mom of 3 - Guess where I've been relegated to !! (ha ha)

Yes totally agree!

I have Sky + which is a god send but will still only record 2 programmes at once.

Tonight I want to watch X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and Deal or no Deal!

Like you with a family Saturday nights are for family viewing. Its a shame they put everything on at the same time just because of the ratings.!

I know the thing is I forgot about Strictly come dancing even though I read it was on in a magazine, but also they are showing the results show tomorrow for a change so maybe I'll recap then or on BBC 3,but I do prefer to watch it as it happens.

I remember it was around Christmas time and the X Factor was on-With Shayne Ward and I was flicking between the 2 channels sometimes when they weren't even in breaks to know what was going on.

Hmm, I agree... They have all this other rubbish on during the week and then go head to head with the stuff you actually want to watch!
Well I s'pose with all the extra channels and constant repeats there's a chance to catch them both...

The reason why it doesn't bother me is because I watch one TV show, and tape the other on my VCR. Having a VCR and being able to tape the show's is an excellent way to watch all your favorite show's.

its a pain in the rear, if they put them on a different times the ratings would go up as you could watch both, you think they would of worked that one out by now wouldn't you!

Absolutely agree it drives me mad!

Having sky+ fitted on Tuesday and if I can figure out how to work it I should be fine for next week!

But that's what it's all about - ratings! - or rantings for you!
Everything has to be about competition these days - and that includes Saturday night when people want to relax!.Bring back Morecambe and Wise I say!
