The idea that certain words are wrong to use, was started as far back as before Christ.
Religion and Cults had rules governing how one must speak, and treat others.
It has been passed from one era to the next, and as it was passed more terms were added.
Profanity is not only certain references to body parts or sexual acts, but as to Race reference, Gender, and of coarse the ones we all know about. Also the use of certain body language is considered profane.
Shakespeare used references to the female body in one of his plays. Caused a great debate over these types of references.
Pretty much, these rules have been twisted and added to, some don't even make sense.
It has been proven by Scholars that the history of these words can be traced back to non profane usage, for the most part.
A lot of what we use today, was derived from German and Russian speech, and to some extent the French.
Not until the late 90's did Americans come into their own, and made up some stuff, that some Americans do not even understand, lol
There ya have it.

thats a very good question, the way i look at is that words are just words you make them how you want to you take them how you want to, back i the day you said the F word it was like you were the worse person in the whole world this days even kids say it.

I guess since language was first used . Bad words denigrate, people, places, and the society, They do nothing to make a positive, or useful contribution to advancing civilization.
