I really really would like to learn the sax!!!

Yeah, a cheap sax is not usually a good sax, so I can only imagine how bad a free sax would be.

If you are really passionate about learning the sax, save up some money and buy a decent one. There's nothing worse than trying to play on a bad sax.

Just so you know if a new saxophone is cheap (i.e. under $1000) it is probably not a good sax. A good, durable brand to get is Yamaha. I've had mine for 7yrs and I've had no problems with it. It cost $1,500 ( it is a beginner- - YAS23).

eBay these days. But you might also post on Craigslist and look at what is already there and pick up the free Greensheet sales newspapers at the grocery store.
