if there were other continent flags maybe it would help yahoo with this problem

i just read an answer on a totally diffewrent subject and the person who answered it was from india and started the answer off that way

the way she wrote her answer it looked to me like the people from london who try to speak like gangsters and whenever i see this type of writing on a question i ignore it because i think they are trying to look hard or cool or something

but now i know that it seems to be from the people from india i might look at there questions more now

what do you think do you think it would be a good idea to be able to see what country the contributer of the question came from on the actual screen of the question

the thing is when i asked this some users (about 10% ) said it may lead to some racism on this site so i thought a continent flag may help to differentiate without being too local what do you think
thanks for your answers

The blue flag with the circle of stars is for the European Union, not for the continent.
And the flag with the stars and stripes is for the USA not for the North American continent.
And the Chinese flag is not for all of Asia, and so on.
So continental flags would not work.

It does not matter to Yahoo that I do not live in the USA, they have booked me as USA user, where some people in the USA have been booked as Canadian.
So any automated system would not work.

And I also do not see the need, if it pertinent to an answer (or question) I will add where I am from.
If I answer a question and there is no way to see where people are from I assume they are from any country but the most logical one. So they might get an answer that is extra long because I add more details for if they are from a different country.

But if it is important to you that everybody knows where you are from you can make it an part of your user name.
Many of us do not feel the need, and would do our best to confuse the system.

You're talking about the flag for the European Union, not the flag for Europe. Europe doesn't have a flag as such, and not every European country belongs to the European Union.

Why does it matter where we are from?
