I wasn't picking a best answer. I was answering a question about 360 and I was the first to answer. I've been the first to answer questions before though so that can't be why I recieved three points...I'm so confused

If your Answers! 24 hour day is just come up, it would have added your 1 point for visiting to your two points for the answer. Happened to me before so I checked my activity details.
