My daughter will be 2 in November and doesn't remember him actually last time she saw him she cried because he scared her. I want a divorce but can't find him. He ran to Oregon from California because he missed his felony charge court dates for holding an illegal substance. And is living in An R.V. they put out an APB for him in Oregon and in California. He hasn't payed any child support, and if they catch him he will go to prison for 2 years if not more for being a felon.

I have moved on with my life, I moved to New Jersey from California, because I met someone I am completely in love with that my daughter calls daddy. She loves him and we want to get married.

So I guess my question is this, how do I divorce him if I can't find him, so I can marry this wonderful man who loves me, and my daughter as if she was his own.

All I want is to be happy and rid of the past, please someone help me!!!!!!

I am not sure how long I believe it is a year, but you can get a divorce based on abandonment. I am thrilled you moved on and it sounds like you are better off. Dont worry about child support that will only keep him involved. Just my opinion if the new guy is willing to be daddy then he wont mind not having the support. Like i said that will onlyy keep him in your life. I wish you the best. Go for the divorce I am pretty sure it will be granted.

I don't have any tricks but I do have a known tried and true cure. The cure for anger is FORGIVENESS. You have to forgive him for everything you can think of and even those things you can't think of. So how do you do that. Forgiveness is an act of God. You need to establish a relationship with God through Jesus. Pick up a Bible and read start with John and find out why God loved you so much that He gave His only son for you.Jn 3:16. Then when you realize and accept Him as your Lord and Savior Rom 10:9 and forgive all those who have hurt you, abused you etc and then you will receive forgiveness from God and He will fill you with His love, His peace and joy and all that you are going through will seem like no stress because you will have peace. The build a relationship with Christ through the Word, find a bible believing and teaching and Living church and fellowship with the faithful. People who will encourage you and no bring you down. Your Ex is immature and now that he is in a relationship that requires what you didn't required, he wants what you allowed. Do n;t go back dear, he only wants to stay immature and have someone he can use. Don't be his door mat. Let him see his child, enforce the child support and you go on with your life. I am telling your from experience I raised two by myself with a dead beat dad. With Christ as the head of my life, I took care of them and they never knew they weren't privileged.

Hi.. I'm a Jersey girl.. Born and raised here. Married here and divorced here. You will have to file for divorce in the state you were married in..Get an attorney who can advise you of your rights and how to go about it..He did abandon you, and that's cause for divorce. But you do have to get the divorce in the state you married in. Call an attorney asap to discuss how you go about it.. Hope all works out the best for you and your new life best wishes.. :-)

Find a lawyer. Tell the lawyer what you know of his last known address. The lawyer will put a notice in the newspaper of his last known address giving him a time limit to respond. If he doesn't respond, you are issued a divorce by default.

See a lawyer because you're not going to be able to do anything without legal counsel anyway. A private detective can find someone much more easily and that is probably the way you will be advised to go.
