I am home alone a lot, hubby works out of state and the kids are grown. I spend about 2 hours a day, sometimes more, on this site. It makes me feel connected to the rest of the world.
And besides, you can get into some good debates here with intelligent people. It's interesting to see other people's points of view.

So why do you bother to ask if you think it such a waste of time? Go wash your car or do home work. Your in the same boat. Have you ever heard the saying? People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Well I suppose if you are a person with plenty to do and keep you busy you would not spend a lot of time on here.. But others of us on our own, with no company, can feel very lonely and bored, and this site helps enormously in relieving that boredom. You say a waste of time,, only if you have something else to do with that time.

Why not. Wer'e not hurting anyone else. Many people on here DO have a genuine desire to help, and the added bonus is that there is real community feel here. As your at level 2, i guess you've spent a good few hours with us as well.

I believe that people spend hours answering question here is for the points and they hope Y!A will start giving awards or prizes for the points - like an arcade !

i spend quiet a bit of time but only instead of watching TV, just to pass some time until its time for me to start getting ready to go out. I really enjoy seeing what questions people ask and the answers they get

I am one of those that sit here hour after hour, I plan on painting my bedroom today and I'm still sitting here answering question, I'm not looking for anything out of it but a good time...
